Your little embryo has now officially graduated to fetus-hood. Adding to the excitement, a Doppler ultrasound device might be able to pick up the beating heart. With basic physical structures in place and increasingly distinct facial features, baby is kind of starting to look like... well... a baby!
Today I'm 9w5d pregnant! I can't believe I'm almost at 10 weeks. They say the rate of miscarriage drops at 10 weeks, so I've been counting down the days! Only 2 days left! That's also around the time when the placenta starts taking over, so my morning (all day) sickness should hopefully be easing up soon! I have already started getting some of my appetite back in the last few days. Still loving fruits, especially watermelon, and some veggies. I'm starting be be able to eat some stronger tasting foods lately too. Yesterday we went out for Indian food...I was worried it would be to much at first, but it was SO yummy! As for aversions, still not liking cheese, bacon, or anything fried. At least I'm able to eat lettuce this pregnancy...the very sight of it with Lily made me gag!
Tiredness has become a big problem again. I've been going to bed so early lately, and wake up still tired! I need to learn to take more naps with Lily! I think I could sleep all day if given the opportunity.
This past week hip pain has started a bit at night. This is so much earlier than with Lily...with Lily I had bad sciatic pain at around 4-5 months, and then hip pain at night didn't bother me until the 3rd trimester. I hope it doesn't get as bad as it did with Lily this early!
We're looking forward to our ultra sound next month. It will be a big relief to see the baby and hear the heart beat!
