We have officially switched Lily into the Little Gym's dance class today! Lily has been begging us to sign her up for dance classes since she was a ballerina for Halloween. Any time she is in the gym when a dance class is going, she stands at the window and watches them, while saying she wants to go dance! With this winters crazy snow, we have had our normal Wednesday night Funny Bugs class canceled twice, then this week Lily was really sick and missed her class. This made for the perfect opportunity to finally give the dance class a try! We used one of her snow day make ups last week for her to try it out for the first time, and to say we all enjoyed it would be an understatement!
She had such a blast learning all the dance warm ups! We enjoyed so much watching her trying out something new, and doing so well at it! We were instantly impressed at how much better she payed attention to her teacher, Miss. Julianna! At our night class we've been having problems with her running off to other stations, and not sharing the equipment. Her and her friends Issiah and Elizabeth often feed off of each other too, making for a very "high energy" class! We've never been overly impressed with Mr. Jake as her teacher either (he's nice enough, and the kids love him, but I just feel like he never gave her enough positive reinforcement, and never came out after class to tell the parents how the kids were doing in the gym. ) None of this was a problem at the dance class! She very intently listens to Miss. Julianna, and tries very hard to follow along! We even noticed she was following directions better in the gym part of the class! (The class spends 15 minutes doing ballet, 15 minutes doing tap, then 30 minutes in the gym) We heard Miss. Julianna several time praise all the girls in the class, and after she came out and told us how much fun Lily was doing, and how great she did! (Those are the types of things we as parents love to see and hear!!) We left her first class on cloud nine, but with a big decision to make. To transfer her or not?! See, while we all really felt that the Jazzy Bugs was a good fit for her, and were very happy with how well she followed directions, we still were a little sad about leaving her night time class! She loves her friends Issiah and Elizabeth, and has made some other great friends in her class...and while Sean and I may not be all that impressed with Mr. Jake as a teacher, Lily loves him! And I also worried that she wouldn't get enough time in the gym if her time was divided. I still worry about that one! And moving to the dance class would mean giving up our Saturday's to the gym again, since the class isn't until the middle of the day. Ultimately the choice was left up to Lily though. It was pretty clear what she wanted to do though...she practiced her tap dancing all week! We made it clear to her that this meant Issiah wouldn't be in her class anymore, and while she's sad, she is ok with that. She really just wants to dance, and that was her decision. So as of today, Lily is a Jazzy Bug! She had her second class today, and it was just as much fun as the first! It really put us at ease...I think we all made the right decision to switch her! And for at least the time being, we don't have to say goodbye to Issiah and her friends at night, because we have 9 make up classes stored up from the last few years (I knew there was a reason we weren't making them up yet!). We worked it out with Miss. Linda so that Lily uses those make ups to go to her Funny Bugs class every other week. Great compromise! I'm really excited about this change for her though! She's doing so well, and is so happy! We're very proud of our new little ballerina!
As for the twins, they have also started going to Little Gym classes!!! We are so excited for them! And for us too...we really missed parent child classes, and the wonderful Miss. Lori! The girls are the cutest Little Birds! We have had 3 classes together so far. We have been pretty surprised at how both girls reacted to the class though. We really expected Ella to be super shy and clingy, and for Violet to barely pay us any attention at all, and to just have a blast in the gym! We had it completely opposite though! Ella LOVES the class!! So much so in fact that this morning at the beginning of class, Ella ran up to Miss. Lori and gave her a big hug! Totally shocked us all!| She's been having so much fun in the class! She loves warm up on the big red mat, and laughs hysterically when we all run! She has done a great job following along during group activities, and is always willing to try the new teacher lead skill activities! She's tried walking on the beam, jumping off the big gym equipment block, doing forward rolls on the cheese, holding onto the bar, and today did a forward roll over the round gym equipment (not sure what to call that!)! She's been social with the other kids, and even shares the balls with others! She's been having so much fun! We are very proud of her!
Violet on the other hand has shocked us by how clingy she is! On our first class she wouldn't let us put her down! Literally any time we tried to put her down to do an activity, she would scream and cry! She made poor Miss. Lori so sad! She just wanted to be held though, so she spent the whole class in Daddy's arms. Last week at our second class she showed a little improvement. She did the warm up shaker song, but when it come to the warm up, she was clinging to me again. I did get her to do a log roll with me though...but that wasn't to hard, since I don't have to put her down to roll with her! She warmed up a little by ball time, and cracked some smiles while rolling the ball with Daddy. She shocked me during the closing song when she got up and put her shaker away by herself! Very proud of her! Today's class she did even better. She still was pretty clingy, but smiled during the opening song, and the warm up today had us doing a lot of activity where the parents hold their birds, so she got to participate in those activities. She loved when we hold our birds tummy to tummy, and bend over making them go upside down! She giggled and smiled when I did that with her! (Ella loved that too, and was laughing hysterically with Sean!) I forced her gently to do a wheel barrel with the class...she didn't like it, and cried the whole time, but did hold herself up well and walked a little on her hands. I didn't make her do it for to long though, since she wasn't enjoying it, but I'm proud she tried! (Ella however just wanted to do forward rolls, and wouldn't stay in the wheel barrel pose!) During the group activity, she again got up off my lap to put the sticks away, which was great! She was clingy again during free play though. She did like when I got up on the low beam with her and then jumped off it...that made her smile! I tricked her into crawling through the tunnel by putting her down on one side, and then rushing to the other side and calling her through. She cried the whole way crawling to me, but she did it! I'm just trying to gently push her to try new things, and hopefully she'll see that she likes it! I did get her to do a few backwards rolls on the cheese. She loves to do these at home, but wasn't to happy I put her down to do them today! She warmed up a bit again during ball time though. She cracked a lot of smiles while rolling the ball back and forth with me! Then she shocked me again by getting up and walking right through all the other kids to put her ball away when it was time! Very proud of her for doing that! Again during the closing song she smiled, and got up to put her shaker away when it was time! So it seems like she is fine with putting things away in class now! Maybe she keeps hoping that putting stuff away means that class is over! haha! Every week she keeps getting better though! I hope soon she will warm up to everyone and start enjoying the class as much as Ella does! I am proud for how much more she did today though! I'm just going to keep pushing her, to help her see all the fun she's missing (Wont push her too much of course...but will do what I can to get her to try some new things!) I can't wait till they both are having a blast at the class!
So that is our new developments at the Little Gym! I'm so glad we are fortunate enough to have a gym like this in our area, and that our girls can be a part of their wonderful classes!

15 Weeks 2 Days
We are firmly in the second trimester!!! YAY! It's a relief to be in the honeymoon trimester, as it's called. morning sickness finally fully passed in the12thweek or so, and I can now open the fridge without gagging!! I'm actually feeling pretty good all around actually. My energy is starting to come back a bit this week even! The one problem I have now is a slight eye sight change (which is normal for pregnancy I've read.) It's been causing me to squint when I'm at the computer or reading, which has been causing some really bad head aches! This is a completely new symptom for me. It's not that bad though.
For craving/aversions, things are pretty much the same since 12 weeks. I only want healthy food...lots of veggies, fruits and grilled chicken! Oranges are my favorite! I find these cravings much better than junk food! I guess I have these lack of strong junk cravings to thank for the 6+ lbs I've lost in the last couple months! Hoping to not lose much more! At least I know that baby is getting what it needs right now!
I'm feeling the baby a lot more often now!!! This is my favorite part of pregnancy! Every now and then I feel the baby flip and turn, or kick! It's still not strong, but now unmistakably baby! I love it! I can't wait for the kicks to get stronger and stronger!
Lily is super excited about the baby! She says she wants a brother (thankfully she did not have a melt down when we found out it was only one baby this time...she was very serious when she said she wanted twins again...one boy and one girl! Thankfully she dropped that after the ultrasound!) She also says she would be happy with a sister too! We'll have to see in a month! We do have one problem though...Lily thinks she is pregnant too!!! When we talk about the baby, she insists that she has a baby in her belly too,and that it is a girl baby! "Mommy, I'm pregnant too! I have a girl baby! I love my baby...I'm going to name her Charlotte!" She wont listen when we try to tell her that she is not actually pregnant! I'm slightly worried we will have a problem when August comes, and mommy comes home with a new baby, and Lily still hasn't had one! I'm hoping either she'll drop the idea that she is pregnant, or realize she is just pretending, or that a baby doll will be enough to satisfy her Mommy urges!
As for the twins, they a quite a bit too young to understand what is happening. It's going to be a big change for them when we bring home the new baby! They are so use to being the babies, and getting first dibs on cuddle time with Mommy and Daddy. I know it's going to be a pretty tough transition with them not really understanding what is going on. I hope it isn't too hard on them! These are the things I worry about! at least they have each other! As it turns out the twins were perfectly placed in our little family!
We've got a busy month for doctors visits. I have to give blood for the quad screen next week (it's funny...I remember being so nervous about those results with Lily...like ridiculously nervous given my age and healthy family history! Now it just seems like a waste of time! I have no worries at all that it will come back as high risk for something! ) Then we have a doctors appointment for the twins later next week (Violet needs a weight check again to see if the Paula Deen diet is working for her!) Then the following week I have my regular doctors appointment, and then finally on March 7th we have our big ultrasound! I'm so excited for that one! We are just dying to find out the gender this time! (Funny, it was SO easy to wait till birth with the twins, but this time I am constantly wondering!) I have no real vibes either way this time, which is a first for me ( I KNEW Lily was a girl right away when we found out I was pregnant. With the twins I was sure we had a boy and a girl in there, which might be why it was easy to wait. Two weeks before they were born I started panicking that we didn't have enough girl clothes, and started getting very very strong feelings that it was 2 girls! ) It's very weird not having any vibes this time. I keep waiting for them to come! I do accidentally say "he" and "him" a lot, but I don't necessarily feel that way. Maybe it's harder for me to feel this time because we are so use to having girls that we have it in our mind that we will only have girls ( which, believe me, would be fine by me! I'm actually kinda hoping it's another girl!) What ever it is though, we will be so happy! If it's a boy, we get to experience something new! If it's a girl, we have the comfort of know exactly what we are doing, and I get to use all the adorable clothes we already have! Either way we win! I just can't wait to know! One more month!

The News is Out!!
We finally told everyone this week that we are pregnant! It feels good to finally have people know! We figured that after having a good u/s, it was time to let people know. I first was a little sneaky though, and posted a picture Lily had drawn of our family on facebook. It took quite a while for anyone to catch the hint, and it took me tagging the photo with new baby for those people to notice!
Lily's drawing of our family:
The new baby is down in the corner...kinda hard to see! Not many people figured it out that day, so the following day, the 20th, I made it painfully clear, by posting a page from "How Fast Times Fly" with our u/s pictures! This time it really was out! YAY!!

Thank you everyone for all the warm congratulations! We really are so excited to be adding another bundle of love to our family!
Now onto the u/s! On 1/19 we had our first ultra sound...the nt scan! Everything went very well! There is one perfect baby in there! YAY! The neck fold measured the way they wanted it too, and my due date is close enough to correct...so I'm keeping it at 8/1/11! The heart beat was 157bpm! Unfortunately the view wasn't as clear as some other u/s's I've had, which was a little sad for our first u/s. Also, baby was not cooperating very well, and the poor tech had to keep jiggling me belly, trying to wake baby up! (my poor full bladder!) Baby slept the whole time, with its back facing us. We had a hard time getting it to turn so we could get a profile view. I could see the baby had it's hand up by it's head, and it seemed to have the hiccups a few times! I cant wait for the next u/s...and hopefully we have a much better view of baby then!
Here are the 3 not so good pictures I got:

12 Weeks, 1 Day...We Have a Heart Beat!!
So today I'm 12 weeks 1 day pregnant with baby number 4! It's been a while since I wrote about the pregnancy, so I figured it's about time I go over the first trimester so far, now that it's almost over!
Morning sickness has finally eased up for me. For a while there I was really sick...almost as bad as I was with the twins! The only difference was I was able to eat a lot more than I did with the twins. I seem to feel better if I've eaten something. Though food aversions and smells have been horrible, making finding something to eat very hard. I found it was better to find something I could stomach, and then stick with that for a few days until I could no longer stomach it any more. I went from turkey sandwiches every night, frozen pizza every night, to lasagna every night, to tacos every night (minus salsa), to humus every night! Now the thought of pizza turns my stomach so bad! For aversions, I can't go near anything fried, or greasy, potatoes (potato chips and fries are the worst, fried, greasy and potato!), salsa, and bread. I'm also not a big fan of cheese, depending on how it's presented. For cravings, I haven't had many, and they keep changing. First thing I craved was chex mix. Then that started making me feel sick, and I started wanting baked Cheetos. Always constant though is fresh fruit! I can't get enough! I've really been craving grapes, and watermelon, and strawberries! And cherries are my favorite! Thankfully we've been able to find some pretty good sales on fruits this winter, and have been able to keep a steady stream of a variety of fruits in the house!
Other than the stomach troubles, I've been really tired. Going to bed at 8 or earlier is normal now! I'm just so run down!! I really miss the naps I was able to take during the day when I was pregnant with Lily, and even the few I was able to take while pregnant with the twins! But with 3 on different nap schedules, I haven't been getting any rest during the day. I've also been pretty moody as a result. And night insomnia doesn't help! For a while I was getting up every night for a few hours, unable to sleep. I've finally gotten over that, but now I'm up 3-4 times a night to go potty! Ah the joys of pregnancy!!
The one real joy I've had happened last week! On Tuesday Jan 11th, I heard the heart beat for the first time, at 11 weeks, 1 day!! I can not even express what a relief it was to hear that! I had been checking on my home doppler for weeks, every day trying to find that little thump thump, with no results. I was starting to get really worried, because it was a few days past when I had first heard it with the twins. Then finally on the night of the 11th, right before bed I checked, and found it right away, right on the lower right side by my pelvis bone, exactly where I had been checking for days! What a beautiful beautiful sound! I swear, nothing relaxes me more than hearing that little heart beat! It was in the 150-160bpm range. I wonder if the old wives tale is true, and this will be another girl? That's where the girls heart beats always were! I've been listening in on the baby almost every day since, and it just keeps getting stronger and stronger, and easier to find! Such a beautiful sound!
I also felt the baby for the first time that night! While listening in, I felt 3 taps, right under where I was listening...and I heard the movement on the doppler too! Since then, I feel the baby every now and then. Still sometimes I'm not sure if it is baby or not, but I'm pretty sure most of the time it is! So exciting! I can't wait to feel it more and more!
So that's where we are in the pregnancy! I started feeling a little better starting around 10 weeks, and every day gets better! I can even open the fridge now without getting sick! Tomorrow is our first ultra sound, the nt scan. I think after that I will finally break the news to everyone!! I can't wait to share our wonderful news with the world!! Even more, I can't wait to see this beautiful baby tomorrow!!

Snow Snow Snow!!!
We ha a huge snow storm last night and this morning! We ended up getting at least 2 feet of snow, if not 3! It took poor Sean all day to shovel the drive way. But we used that to our advantage, and took some time to play outside in the area that had been shoveled (it was WAY to deep to walk out to the sledding hill!) As you can see above, Ella was NOT a happy camper, out in the cold! Poor thing cried and cried, until Sean started to pull the girls around in the sled! That at least calmed her!
Lily of course had the time of her life! She loves playing in snow, and was excited to have so much to play in!
The girls not pleased Daddy stopped pulling them:
He was taking a break to play with Lily a bit though!
"Come on Daddy, lets go!"
Daddy pulling the girls around...notice how high the snow is on the car!? It never did get dug out!
Lily making a snow angel:
She really had a lot of fun!
Digging in the snow!
We weren't out to long, the girls were getting cold! I had fun though, and so did Daddy and Lily...and I think the girls actually enjoyed being pulled around...though they weren't so sure about snow! I can't blame them...this was the first time they had been out to play in it! After we came in, we all warmed up with a nice cup of hot chocolate! I love when it snows like this....nothing better than being snowed in!
