Happy New Year!!!

2010 was a wonderful year to us, and I have to say I'm a little say to see it go already! But I know the 2011 is going to be just as wonderful, with a new baby...and my 3 beautiful girls!! I hope everyone has a wonderful 2011 too!

I'll leave 2010 with some pictures of the twins trying sparkling cider for the first time! (Mommy deserves a little fun drink too...since I can't drink champagne! )

(I'll repeat again....it was sparkling apple cider....non alcoholic! Just want to make sure that's clear for anyone who stumbles upon the blog! )

Christmas With Nannie and Papa

We were so excited to have Nannie and Papa down to visit! The silly blizzard the day after Christmas pushed their visit back, but they were able to come down to spend New Years with us! We woke up New years Eve, and celebrated our little family Christmas! The girls (especially Lily) were so excited to open more presents!

Lily started us out with a present from Uncle Andrew, that we were all excited to see her open:

Rapunzel Barbie!! Lily has been asking for this doll since she saw it at the Disney store months ago!

Anxiously waiting for Nannie to open up her new barbie:

And helping Ella open hers too:

Chip!! Violet got Dale too!

Giving Chip some love!

Cutie Ella:

Megan got Lily these adorable wings and play jewelery! Lily didn't take them off the entire day!

Ella not so sure about the bows:

Opening another present...a sit and spin!

Unfortunately that's all the pictures I took of present opening. I do have one last picture of Violet all tuckered out for her big day with Nannie and Papa!

We had a wonderful visit with my parents! I love when they come down!

Christmas 2010

Merry Christmas!! We had a wonderful one today! our day started early for me, when I woke up earlier than everyone else (thank you pregnancy insomnia!). Lily finally woke up around 6:30, having accidentally gone potty in the bed. Poor thing was upset...but lucky me, I had gotten Lily 2 different pairs of xmas pj's! After getting her changed, we got the babies up, and all went down stairs, and let the girls go through their stockings! Lily was SO excited it was finally Christmas, and Santa had come!!

Santa brought her the tennis dolly that she has been asking us for for months! I just kept telling Lily to ask Santa for it, so she started a ritual when she wanted something, she would close her eyes shut really tight, and whisper, "I wish I wish Santa you bring me a tennis dolly, and a green flash light and..."

Lily got the flash light she wished for!

Ella was more interested in Mommy's camera lens cap than her own stocking:

The wonderful fire we had going all day long:

After we got through our stockings, we started on the presents. Our tradition, passed down from my family, is to open presents one at a time, going it order of age, youngest goes first, up through the oldest. Violet, being one hour younger than Ella, got to open the first gift!

New shoes!!

Ella's first present:

Also new shoes!!

Lily's first present, new clothes!

New toy phone:

Hello?

Lily's new game:

The girls fought over this present, it was Violet's turn to open, but Ella wanted to help!

Eventually Violet gave in and they opened it together! (fitting, since they are both going to wear these clothes!)

Lily got her first set of nail polish in her stocking, and wanted to take a pedicure break!

Violet and Ella wanted to help me open my present!

We all had a wonderful day! It was a little long, but fun! The girls played so much between each gift, and I way over bought, and then there was lunch, and naps, and dinner...it ended up taking us until about 7pm to finish up opening everything! In addition to what is pictures, the girls got a new rocking horse (cow actually!), some puzzles, lots of clothes and shoes, stuffed animals, books, turtle pull toy, wood bowl set, and cloth play food! Lily got new puzzles, clothes, books, games, doll furniture, and a baby doll. I got Sean a bunch of dvd's, books, sweaters, and a new clock. He got me lots of fun new stuff for the kitchen, some dvd's and photography books, and a new frame for the girls pictures! Like I said, it was a wonderful day! So much fun now with so many kids on Christmas morning! Looking forward to next year, when we'll have a new little bundle to spoil!
