"Find a palette of a single color, hue or tint and study the intricacies just begging to be discovered and framed by your lens."
I used yesterday's nature walk as a jump off point for this assignment. During the whole walk I had my eyes open for colors and textures! I've always loved ferns, so I knew I wanted to try a shot with any I found along our way....here was my best shot:
I do want to try that again someday....maybe in the spring when they are just opening!
While we were at the play ground playing with the pine cones, I noticed the bed of pine needles....and then was scared by a spider on one of the pine cones I picked up...When he fell off the pine cone, I noticed how well he blended right into the pine needles....can you find him?
Thursday's assignment was titled "After the Fall", and was all about gathering natures little treasures that get left behind. This prompt is what inspired the whole nature walk, so I thought it fitting that Lily be part of the shots, since she was such a big part of gathering our objects. Most of the pictures from yesterday of Lily gathering can be for in my previous blog entry, but here are the two images I took for this assignment:
I love how they came out!
I also took a couple photo's that combined both assignments...The palette of brown gathered acorns.
Those two assignments were really fun! So far I'm really enjoying this class, and how it's forcing me to look at the details of things. And I love that it inspired a fun activity for the day!
I have one last picture from yesterday that fits into the beauty challenge. I found this mushroom at the playground. At first I had no idea what it was, and was just worried Ella was going to try to eat it...but then I took a closer look, and noticed really how beautiful it was!
