Back to The Doctor

Yesterday I had my first ob appointment for this pregnancy! I'm excited to have gotten in to see Dr. Cluett so early this time. But unfortunately she did not order an ultra sound for me to figure out a due date. Nurse Rachel just estimated an Oct 25.th LMP, which puts me at a due date of August 1st. I know it will be changed at my first U/S in January.

Last week on Monday I went to get the blood pregnancy test done after calling my doctor. I got the results back the next day, and my beta was 38,548 at approximately 30dpo or more. Great numbers!! Right around where it should be at that point!

My appointment yesterday was pretty standard. Nothing special...We've been through it before! It was nice to see everyone at the office though! It's funny how you go seeing these people every month, then every other week, then every week...then suddenly you stop seeing them all together! I love everyone there, so it's nice to be back to seeing them all regularly again! Nothing special from the appointment though...got my packet of stuff, and my u/s's scheduled. Doctor Cluett also said she has a feeling that this is a singleton this time! We'll see at the u/s! I think it's only one too!

As for how am I feeling...well morning sickness has been hitting me harder in the last couple of days. I'm a little over 7 weeks, so it's the right time to be getting worse. Weird thing this time though is I feel a little better if I eat something. Was never like that with the girls. Though the last couple days eating hasn't helped, only makes it worse. (As I sit here trying desperately to keep my lunch of pad thai down!) I've been terribly tired still too. I just can't start awake in the afternoon! Come 3am though, I'm up! I've been having insomnia every single night since I found out I was pregnant last week! Other symptoms include being really irritable, feeling cold all the time (unless I'm trying to clean, then I over heat very suddenly!), burping like crazy (Especially after drinking water), and the dreaded food aversions! Oh how I hate food aversions and the over active sniffer! I can't go into the fridge any more without feeling sick! I have to hold my breath just to make Lily a cup of juice! One of the worst parts of pregnancy I think! I LOVE being pregnant...but man I could do without this first trimester sickness mess! As for what I have aversions too...breads, and anything fried tops my list! I can't stand making the girls chicken nuggets any more, because they make me so so sick! The list for aversions isn't as long this time though...mostly just anything that smells bad to me at the time. They come and go. And I seem hungrier this time. I hope that doesn't mean I gain weight in the first trimester this time. I have yet to gain anything in the first tri before!

We're still thrilled to be expanding our family! I never thought of having another baby now, but it's starting to set in now, I think. I'm starting to be able to picture ourselves with a new baby this summer!
