Picture the Holidays, Day 2: Reframing The Season

I have to say this prompt didn't inspire me that much! We don't have anything "Christmas" up in our house yet, so I don't have any "holiday" to shoot yet. I'm not happy with the picture I did take...but for the purposes of trying to stay on track this time, here's my photo, framing Lily:


(She was yelling "I love Christmas" the whole time I was taking the photo's! Silly!)

On an aside note, I have to share a little story from yesterday. Lily was upstairs in her room, playing quietly for a while, while I was getting the twins down for a nap.Suddenly she comes running down the stairs and says to me "I got a drum for christmas Mommy!!! I got a new drum!!" I thought..uh oh...did she get into the Christmas presents?!?! I have them hidden in the window seat in her room, which she normally can't open herself, and in there was a toy drum, for Violet and Ella! I ran up the stairs, and enter her room, and see the floor is COVERED with Christmas presents, and the window seat is open!!! AHHH!!! She had toys and books all lined up on her bed, and all the clothes strewn across the floor! I couldn't believe it! I guess I had tried to cram to many things into the small space, and the top wasn't shutting all the way, making it easy for her to get into it!! She was so funny too, showing me all the thing she had "got"! Mostly the stuff was her sisters, but she did pull out a fair share of her stuff too. I hope she hasn't spoiled Christmas for herself! Isn't it to early for her to be searching out presents!

But the story doesn't end there! I put everything away, and took some stuff to our closet so I could get the seats top to shut this time. Later that night, I walk into our bedroom and find all the things that I had brought into our closets lined up on the bed!! When I asked her about it, she said she was just taking care of them...keeping them safe! HAHA!! She is particularly fond of the baby doll I have in there for the twins birthday. She kept taking it out, saying it was crying, and it needed her to hold it! I ended up having to remind her that she had a baby just like it, that was crying for her down stairs. When she went to get it, I hide the twins doll, and when Lily came back in, we told a little white lie that Santa came and took the baby back to the north pole to fix a button!! Thank god she bought it, and started taking care of her own baby! I hope we don't have a problem on their birthday when they get presents and Lily doesn't!
